Robert “Bobby” Beresford

Robert “Bobby” Beresford, of Port Neches, peacefully passed away on September 23, 2015 from complications of cancer.  He was 62.
Bobby was a kind soul who loved golf, and loved his family. He loved teaching, net surfing, and just lost his beloved dog Ginger.  Bobby was a strong hearted, God loving man who actually cared about people and smiled through it all to the end. Though he is gone, the impact he left on the hearts and lives of those who knew him are beautiful and completely undeniable. He had a great sense of humor and an amazing laugh that always made the gloomiest of times seem a little brighter. He is already greatly missed, and will always be remembered for the outstanding person that he was.
Bobby was born to Wilma and Robert Beresford, in Port Arthur, Texas on November 6, 1952.  He attended school in the PN-GISD school district and graduated from Port Neches – Groves High School in 1971.  After graduating from high school, Bobby then earned his degree in teaching from Lamar University in Beaumont.  He worked for Chevron for 17 years and Beaumont ISD for 12 years.  Bobby was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Becky Stevenson Beresford; sons, Kyle Rios, Joe Rios, Randy Beresford, David Foret; daughter, Angela Hrapchak; 11 grandchildren; mother, Wilma Beresford; sisters, Anna Walker, Angela Beresford, Ruth Ann Gillette, Sara Broussard.
The family will receive friends at Grammier – Oberle Funeral Home on Friday from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM on Saturday at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home with Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
