Russell May, 65, went to be with the Lord Saturday, September 19, 2015 at home.  A lifelong resident of Port Arthur, he was the assistant Pastor and a past Sunday school superintendent.
Survivors include his lovely wife Thelma Delores; son Russell Jr.; daughter Stephanie Malbrue; brother Paul May, Sr.; sisters Dorothy Joubert and Helen Stephenson; 4 grandchildren all of Port Arthur, TX; host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; a devoted friend Arthur Robinson and wife.
He is preceded in death by his parents Percy Sr. and Beaulah May; 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Guiding Star Baptist Church with a viewing from 9 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
