Carl Edward DeYoung, 84, of Port Arthur passed away, Wednesday, September 16, 2015. Carl was born September 7, 1931 to the late John Edward and Ora Mae DeYoung in Baton Rouge, LA. Carl served his country in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War; he retired from Texaco as a machinist. He was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur.
Carl was, also, preceded in death by his wife Beverly DeYoung and his brothers, John DeYoung, Alton DeYoung and Earl DeYoung.
Carl was survived by his son Carl Edward DeYoung and his wife Dena; his daughter Catherine DeYoung all of Groves; four grandchildren, Justin DeYoung, Amanda DeYoung, Kayla Vidrine and her husband Eric, and Tessa Johnson; three great grandchildren, Luz Johnson, Lennon and Ollie Vidrine.
A gathering of family and friends will be held tonight, Friday, September 18, 2015 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Grammier – Oberle Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00PM, Saturday, September 19, 2015 in the Chapel of Grammier – Oberle Funeral Home with the interment following at Oak Bluff Cemetery in Port Neches.
