Michael Ray George I, 68, of Port Arthur, TX, died peacefully Saturday, September 12, 2015, at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, TX.
Michael, the son of the late Joseph George and Mary Sassine George, graduated from Bishop Byrne High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army and retired from Oxbow Calcining, LLC.
Michael is survived by the mother of his children, Patricia Scully George; his wife Brenda George; his children Dia George Cortez and her husband Adolfo Cortez, Jr., Chris George, Mikey George and Jennifer George and two stepchildren, David Harmon and Vicki Ramirez; his siblings Elizabeth Briggs, John George and Martha Labbitt; his grandchildren, Ali, Elizabeth and Victoria Cortez, Joseph George, Alaia Vasquez, Kyla, Isabella and Sunshine Harmon, Tianna Taylor, Isaiah Ramirez and Marcus Williams. He was, also, preceded in death by a brother, A.J. George.
A Memorial Service, to Celebrate the Life of Michael, is scheduled for Friday, September 18, 2015 at 3:00PM in the Chapel of Grammier – Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur. The Family will receive friends from 1:00 until the service hour at 3:00PM.
