Damon Lamont Walker

Damon Lamont Walker, 49, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015 in Memorial Hermann Southwest Heart and Vascular Institute in Houston, TX.  He was born in Houston, TX to Carol and Menson Walker, Jr. on May 28, 1966.  He moved to Port Arthur an early age and was baptized at Rock Island Baptist Church by Reverend L.A. Kessee.  Damon was a 1984 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and worked as a scaffold builder at area plants. He had a passion for cars and motorcycles and was a member of Golden Eagles Motorcycle Club. He also liked to coach football and was a coach for the Junior Bees team.
In addition to his parents he is survived by the love of his life his daughter Imariah Wright (Jared); his grandchildren Gabriel & Leah Wright all Grand Prairie, TX; his sister Dedra Richardson (Thaddeus Sr.); his brother, Marlon Walker all of Port Arthur, TX; nephews Toddrick Johnson (Janee) of Port Arthur, TX and Thaddeus Richardson, Jr. of Galveston, TX; and a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Rock Island Baptist Church with a visitation from 9 a.m. until service time.  Rev. Donald R. Frank, Sr. will officiate.  Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
