Ernest Clarence Friedl, Sr., 93, passed away September 7, 2015, in the Hemphill Care Center in Hemphill, Texas. Ernest was born in Port Arthur, Texas to Albert and Anna Burton Friedl. He served in the Army Air Corp in World War II. He was a retired operator for the Gulf Oil Company and he was a member of the Fairdale Baptist Church. Ernest will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years Dorothy Friedl of Toledo Bend Community, his son Ernest Friedl Jr. and wife Ginger of Elmore City, Oklahoma, his daughters: Susan Davis and husband Benny of Livingston, Texas, and Patty Dinkle and husband Matt of Beaumont, Texas, his brother Albert C. Friedl of Port Arthur, his 8 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12:00PM until 2:00PM, Thursday, September 10, 2015, in the Fairdale Baptist Church. Funeral service will be at 2:00PM, Thursday, September 10, 2015, in the Fairdale Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Mount Sinai Cemetery.
