ORANGEFIELD — The Nederland Lady Bulldogs improved to 13-7 with a three-game sweep of Orangefield Tuesday.

Nederland won the match 25-11, 25-13 and 25-20.

Abbey Montalvo had four aces while Darcie Jones finished with three. Montalvo also put in 11 assists and 13 digs.

Courtney Noel had a splendid night with six aces, two blocks and eight kills and Caroline Noel added four kills and one block.

Marlie Lee had seven kills and nine digs, Payton Swanson had eight digs and Emma Forsythe finished with 11 assists and five digs.

The Lady Bulldogs play host to Liberty on Friday.

PA MEMORIAL 3, BOB HOPE 1

The Port Arthur Memorial Lady Titans defeated the visiting Bob Hope Eagles Tuesday in four games.

Bob Hope struck first with a 25-20 win in Game 1 and then it was all Memorial.

The Lady Titans swept the next three games 25-13, 26-24 and 25-16.

Memorial participates in the YMBL Tournament starting Thursday.
