George Garcia, age 69, died at his residence in Las Vegas Nevada, Friday August 7th, 2015, of a heart attack.
George is survived by his Sisters, Gloria Reyes, Hope Herrera, Mary Alice Llanes; his brothers, Frank, Phillip, Joe, Richard, Jesse (Jr.) Andrew and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jesus Carmen, mother, Justina and brothers Lupe and Henry.
George is a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals and Navy Unit commendation. He grew up in Port Arthur where he attended church at St. Charles and Our lady of Guadalupe and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. George also lived many years in Las Vegas where he worked in the Teamster Union and was a part time actor appearing in many movies.
Funeral service will be on Saturday August 29, 2015, 9:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe church, Rev. Urbano Saenz officiating.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Wounded Warrior Project at 1-855-448-3997.
