Groves Police calls, Aug. 12 through Aug. 18

 Groves Police responded to the following calls from Aug. 12 through Aug. 18

Wednesday, Aug. 12

  • A 37-year-old man was issued a criminal trespass warning at a local business in the 4800 block of Twin City Highway.
  • A wallet was stolen from the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive.
  • A Smith & Wesson M & P Shiels , 40 caliber, was stolen from the 6800 block of Bexley.
  • A 50-year-old female, and a 21-year-old male were arrested for possession of a controlled substance at a local business in the 5200 block of East Parkway.

Thursday, Aug. 13

  • A City of Groves water meter was damaged and water was reported stolen in the 3300 block of Lay Avenue.

 Friday, Aug. 14

  • A ladies wallet was stolen from a vehicle in the 4600 block of Boyd. Unauthorized charges were then made to the victim’s credit card accounts.
  • A Smith & Wesson model SD .40 automatic pistol was stolen from a vehicle in the 5200 block of Whitaker.
  • A 50-inch flat screen TV, a 60-inch TV, a Sony home stereo system and a Jordon air blower were stolen from a house in the 5700 block of Baird.
  • Tires were cut on a vehicle in the 5000 block of East Parkway.
  • A 20-year-old male was arrested on outstanding warrants after a traffic stop in the 5000 block of 32nd Street.

 Saturday, Aug. 15

  • A dog was attacked and killed by two Pit Bull dogs that were running at large in the 5900 block of 25th Street.
  • A vehicle parked in the 4900 block of Twin City Highway was broken into and the victim’s driver’s license, Social Security card, credit card and cash were stolen. Unauthorized charges were then made to the credit card accounts.
  • Officers responded to a disturbance in the 5300 block of Gulfway and when a subject was being questioned, he ran away. He was apprehended and the 25-year-old male was arrested on outstanding warrants and evading arrest/detention.

 Sunday, Aug. 16

  • A 19-year-old female was arrested for public and fail to identify when she used false identification. A 21-year-old male was also arrested for public intoxication after a call of a suspicious vehicle in the 3100 block of Main Avenue.
  • A 22-year-old male was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 5400 block of West Parkway.

 Monday, Aug. 17

  • A 43-year-old female was arrested on outstanding warrants after a traffic stop in the 3300 block of West Parkway.
  • A vehicle struck a building in the 6000 block of Gulfway Drive. No injuries were reported.
  • Unauthorized charges were made to a debit card account.

 Tuesday, Aug. 18

  • A 45-year-old male was arrested on outstanding warrants in the 2500 block of Twin City Highway.

  • Motor vehicle accidents investigated — 3
