“In the third game, give Orangefield credit; they hung in there,” longtime PN-G coach Barbara Comeaux said. “There are still a lot of things we need to work on. We’ll need to play with more intensity. We need to work on that. There are still some things we need to do a lot better.”

With room to grow, the Rock-A-Noos are still off to a good start after losing several seniors from last year’s District 22-5A championship team.

Jessica Harper finished with 12 digs and 10 points serving for the Rock-A-Noos. Emily Taubert had a team-high 17 digs.

Hannah Hernandez had 11 assists for the Rock-A-Noos, Libbie LeJeune contributed eight assists, Jade Weatherford had six kills and two blocks, Laura McCutcheon came up with six kills and Hannah Jones totaled two blocks.

A busy week for PN-G continues Thursday with a 9 a.m. contest against Crosby at the Dickinson tournament. PN-G will host Hamshire-Fannett on Friday.
