Yvonne Kirby Thompson Yates, 87, of Beaumont, passed away on Wednesday July 29, 2015 in Port Arthur. Yvonne was born on June 5, 1928 in Beaumont, Texas to her parents Jarrotte and Marie Seymore Kirby who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband Donald K. Yates, three sons Ted K., Michael O., James B. Thompson, and one sister.
Mrs. Yates was a homemaker who enjoyed reading and swimming. She was a graduate of the Class of 1945 from Beaumont High School.
Surviving Yvonne are her two sons, Jerry Thompson of Nederland and Chuck Thompson of Pt. Neches, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday August 1, 2015 from 9:00A.M. until service time of 10:00A.M. at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
