Ruth F. Gulley, 87, of Groves, Texas passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Oak Grove Nursing Home in Groves. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas on September 24, 1927 to Edna Nichols Fann and Joseph Jackson Fann, Sr. Ruth was a lifelong resident of the area and was affiliated with Aldersgate Trinity United Methodist Church. She retired as a printer after many years of service at several print shops.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Lana Ruth Gulley.
She is survived by her sister, Freida Rode of Port Arthur, her niece, Sharon Schleiffer and husband, Dr. Richard of Groves, her two nephews, Ronnie Rode and his wife, Maureen of Humble and Glen Rode of Beaumont, several great nieces and nephews along with great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Sunday, July 19, 2015 from Noon till service time at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM Sunday in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
