GROVES — As you plan your summer picnics and get-togethers, don’t settle for the same-old, same-old! “Bump Up your BBQ!” will get you and your taste buds ready for July 4 and beyond. Groves Public Library employee Ginger Tuttle will offer tips and samples of colorful fare on Tuesday, June 23, at 6 p.m. as part of the library’s ongoing Adult Life Enrichment series.
Tuttle will focus on picnic sides, including drinks, appetizer, fruit and dessert. The program will be held at the library, 5600 West Washington. Since food samples will be offered, reservations are requested: 409-962-6281.
For those who want more culinary suggestions, Groves Public Library has an extensive collection of cookbooks, including books on backyard grilling.
The library’s Adult Life Enrichment series has offered a variety of free programs since its inception in early 2014. If you have suggestions for future programs, or would be interested in presenting a program of general interest, please call Deborah Harper, library director, at 409-962-6281.
