Robert “Bobby” G. Hanks

Robert “Bobby” G. Hanks, 79, of Nederland, died Monday, June 15, 2015. A native and lifelong resident of the area, he was born on February 23, 1936, in Nederland, to Edolia Pellerin and Wilson Hanks.
Robert was a contractor for forty years. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Minnie Jean Hanks of Nederland; daughters, Katrina K. Lambert and her husband, Gordon, of Nederland and Tami Rene’ Lunn and her husband, Steve, of McKinney; grandchildren, Tara McDonald and her husband, Jeffery; Joshua Lambert; Adam Lambert and his wife, Kristi; Logan Lunn; and Abby Lunn; and great-grandchildren, Brandon Walker, Alyssa Walker, Maddox Lambert, Bailey Lambert, and Saylor Lambert.
He was preceded in death by parents; brother, Jerry Hanks; and sister, Beverly Ann Askew.
A gathering of Mr. Hanks’ family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 18, 2015, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 19, 2015, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland. His interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
