Lillian Mae Richard of Port Arthur and Houston, Texas, passed away on June 10, 2015 at Houston Hospice, surrounded by those she laughed with, and lived for, and loved.
Lillian was born in 1925 in Morse, Louisiana.  She was preceded in death by her husband and best friend of 52 years, Elias Richard, and by her parents, Nola and Arise Stutes, whom she adored.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her loving children Brenda Schell (Jeffery) and Russell Richard (Maryjane), her grandchildren Steven Schnell, Angela Schnell, and Stephanie Richard Myer, her beloved brother and sister-in-law, Jay & Nadine Stutes, and her many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, friends, and her devoted friend and caretaker, Nohemi Munoz.
Lillian’s long life was one of devotion and service to her family, church, community and her many friends and neighbors.  Lillian was a licensed cosmetologist, an adventurous traveler, and a joyful gardener and cook.  She will be missed and remembered by all those privileged to have known and loved her.
You are invited to join us to celebrate the life of this remarkable woman at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, on Saturday, June 13 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 12, from 5-8 PM with a Rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM at Clayton Thompson.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Houston Hospice for their compassionate care and devotion given to Lillian.
In Lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations to Houston Hospice, 1905 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, Texas 77030-4123 in memory of Lillian.
