James Lee Rogers, 72, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away with his canine  companion “Baby Girl” Leia, on Monday, June 8, 2015.
James was born on March 5, 1943 in Port Arthur, Texas to Severin Johnson Rogers and Eunice Gondron Rogers. He was a 1961 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and retired operator. James was a veteran and proudly served in the U. S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Earl Rogers.
Survivors include his two daughters, Tricia Hernandez and husband Danny of Groves, Tara Daniels and husband Josh of Houston; one son, Troy Rogers and wife Sue of Groves; five grandchildren, Logan Rogers, Miranda Rogers, Drake Hernandez, Phoebe Hernandez, and Colton Daniels; four sisters, Joyce Temple and husband Allen of Colmesneil, Virgie Lucas of Willis, Phyllis Noonan and two husband Al, Sr. of Austin, Elizabeth Johnson and husband Gary of Sulphur; two brothers, Lloyd Rogers and wife Virginia of Houston, Malcom Rogers and wife Alice of Spring; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Rogers of Houston.
Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend D. Stephen McCrate officiating.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
