Port Arthur Police responded to the following calls from May 2 through May 6
Saturday, May 2
• Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported in the 2900 block of 13th Street.
• An LG G-Flex cell phone was stolen from a room at Imperial Inn and Suites, 8040 Memorial Blvd.
• Two officers were assaulted during a disturbance in the 4700 block of Sunken Court.
• A person was arrested unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon in the 2000 block of Memorial Boulevard.
• Felony criminal mischief/assault-family violence was reported in the 2900 block of 13th Street.
• A dog was stolen from the backyard of a home in the 3800 block of Dryden Road. The suspect used bolt cutters to cut the dog’s chain.
• The theft of $91.78 in groceries was reported at Walmart, 8585 Memorial Blvd.
• A person was arrested for the theft of $295.99 worth of merchandise at Dillards, 3100 FM 365.
• Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported in the 200 block of Dixie Drive.
• State jail felony assault was reported in the 1600 block of 14th Street.
• Assault-family violence was reported a Ninth Avenue Station apartments, 7225 Ninth Ave.
• Burglary of a building was reported at Clean Caring Daycare, 3048 Procter St.
• Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported in the 400 block of Eighth Avenue.
• A person was arrested for the theft of $169.61 worth of miscellaneous merchandise at Walmart, 8585 Memorial Blvd.
Sunday, May 3
• Two people were arrested for the theft of 35 items totaling more than $200 from Walmart, 4999 Twin City Hwy. The suspects had two children with them and Child Protective Services were called to take the children because the suspects reportedly refused to cooperate and call someone to take the children.
• A person was arrested for driving while intoxicated with a child under the age of 15 in the vehicle in the 8500 block of Ninth Avenue.
• A person was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a traffic accident in the 1800 block of Ninth Avenue.
• Assault-family violence was reported in the 400 block of Neches Avenue.
• Household appliances, bicycles, bed frame and tools were reported stolen from a building in the 3300 block of Seventh Street.
• Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was reported in the 5900 block of Ash Avenue.
• Assault-family violence was reported in the 1200 block of West Sixth Street.
• Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported in the 1900 block of 14th Street.
• Assault-family violence was reported in the 2200 block of Fifth Avenue.
• A 48-inch TV, Playstation 3, 10 games and medication were stolen from a residence at Port Arthur Townhomes, 3500 Turtle Creek Blvd.
• Criminal mischief was reported at Family Dollar, 2601 Memorial Blvd., after someone damaged the glass front door.
• A license plate was stolen from a vehicle in the 3100 block of Eighth Street.
• A person was arrested for assault-family violence in the 2800 block of Manning.
• A person was arrested for evading arrest/detention at Southwood Crossing Apartments, 3901 Texas 73.
Monday, May 4
• Terroristic threat was reported at Rampart Apartments, 1700 Village East Blvd.
• Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was reported in the 3000 block of 10th Street after a person was struck in the head with a baseball bat during a fight.
• An LG Optimus cell phone was stolen after a person accidentally left it on the counter at Super Stop, 2248 Gulfway Drive.
• Assault-family violence was reported at Comfort Inn, 7800 Memorial Blvd.
• The theft of $877.61 worth of cosmetics was reported at Target, 3100 FM 365.
• Assault-family violence was reported in the 5200 block of 12th Street.
• A home in the 5100 block of Minnie was burglarized.
• Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported in the 3900 block of Sixth Street.
• A person was arrested for the theft of three pairs of sunglasses and a pack of muscle shirts at Walmart, 4999 Twin City Hwy.
• Assault-family violence was reported at Lakewood Palms Apartments, 5200 Gulfway Drive.
• A microwave and an Optimus LG phone were stolen from a home in the 500 block of H.O. Mills Boulevard.
• A person was arrested for the theft of $156.87 worth of merchandise at Walmart, 8585 Memorial Blvd.
• A person was arrested for possession of marijuana in the 4000 block of Gulfway Drive.
• A person was arrested for tampering with physical evidence with intent to impair at Citgo, 1200 Gulfway Drive.
• Batteries were stolen from construction equipment in the 400 block of Woodworth Boulevard.
Tuesday, May 5
• A 2007 Ford F250 truck belonging to the City of Port Arthur (water department) was stolen from the 800 block of Eighth Avenue and later recovered one block away by the complainant.
• A PlayStation 3 with games and controllers and Beat Box were stolen from a home in the 3200 block of Eighth Street.
• Possession of drug paraphernalia was reported at Senior Rehab and Skilled Nursing, 8825 Lamplighter Lane.
• The back right tail light of a 2014 Ford F350 truck belonging to the City of Port Arthur was damaged while parked at city hall, 440 Fourth St.
• A person was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 1900 block of West Texas 73.
• A 46-inch TV and two Apple iPod’s were stolen from a home in the 4800 block of Redbird Street.
• Attempted theft of a vehicle was reported in the 1000 block of Lee Avenue.
Wednesday, May 6
• Criminal mischief was reported at Pebble Creek Apartments, 4131 Jimmy Johnson Blvd.
• Assault-family violence was reported in the 3100 block of 19th Street.
• Assault-family violence was reported in the 3800 block of Drexel Drive.
• An industrial accident was reported Lamar State College-Port Arthur physical plant in the 300 block of Lake Charles Avenue. Injuries were determined to be life threatening and the victim was transported to a local hospital then life-flighted out of the area for medical treatment.
• Terroristic threat-family violence was reported in the 700 block of Augusta Avenue.
