The Port Arthur Independent School District held their Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship for Academic Excellence program on May 14th in the Memorial High School auditorium.

Twenty-five senior students received scholarships ranging from $200-$1000. They include: Jassmon Allen-Bush; Armani Alpough; Antonio Banda; Luis Chavez; La’Keisha Como; Alejandro DeHoyos; Sakurah Fisher; Deja Getwood; Christin Green; Vickie Jacquet; Kyler Jones; Darlene La; Deverell Mays; Brenda Nguyen; Jennie Nguyen; Thanh Nguyen; Yessica Oceguera; Ky’Asia Parker; Kevin-Loc Pham; Trang Pham; Imani Porterie; Rommel Sanchez; Tam Dan Tran; Averi Wesley and Desirae Whitmore.

Two seniors also received the Superintendent’s Model Student Award for their exemplary leadership on campus. Darlene La and Than Vu Nguyen received cash scholarships directly from Superintendent Dr. Mark Porterie.
