PN-G, Ridge Point set playoff info

PORT NECHES — The Port Neches-Groves Indians are past the first round of the baseball playoffs for the fourth time in the past five years.
The Indians (22-6-1) dispatched the Barbers Hill Eagles this last weekend in three games and now face Fort Bend Ridge Point (21-8).
PN-G and Ridge Point start the series at 7 p.m. Thursday with Game 2 scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday. Game 3, if needed, starts at 1 p.m. Saturday. All games are slated to be played at Baytown Lee High School.
The last time PN-G made it out of the second round since 2010 when the Tribe went four deep and lost to Friendswood in the regional semifinals.
Also in the area, Bridge City and Giddings play a one-game playoff at 7 p.m. Friday at Humble Kingwood.
West Orange-Stark and Navasota start a three-game series at 7 p.m. Thursday and pick back up for Game 2 at 5 p.m. Friday with Game 3 to follow 30 minutes after if needed. All games are to be played at Barbers Hill High School.
