BEAUMONT — Beaumont Police have released the name of a man who was killed in a  motorcycle accident Saturday night.
The victim is identified as Heath R. Nequent, 37, of the Port Acres area of Port Arthur.
Shortly after 2 p.m. May 9 Beaumont Police officers responded to the 1700 block of Cardinal Highway where they located a male motorcycle rider deceased at the scene.
The victim had been traveling west bound in the 1700 block of Cardinal and made slight contact with another vehicle and lost control of his motorcycle. He struck the pavement, and was deceased when officers arrived, according to a press release from the Beaumont Police Department.
