Annie Mire Cappadona

   Annie Mire Cappadona was born on April 17, 1922 and completed her life journey on November 27, 2013.  A native of Port Neches, TX, Annie lived her wonderful life in Port Arthur, TX, Austin, TX and Sarasota, FL.

   Annie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Johnnie Cappadona; her parents Euphemon and Louisa Mire of Port Neches, TX.  She is survived by her daughters Carolyn Gorman (Brian Gorman) of Atlanta, GA. and Johnette Cappadona of Sarasota, FL; her grandson Noah Cappadona Rodriguez of Sarasota, FL.; her brothers J.D. Mire (Pattye Mire) of Port Neches, TX, and Charles Mire of San Antonio, TX; her sisters Victoria Broussard of Livingston, TX, and Ella Mae Holland of St. Charles, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.  An expression of gratitude is given to Bill and Mary Ellen Krautter of Austin, TX for their unwavering love and support, and to Annie’s many friends in many cities.  

   Annie was beloved by all who knew her because of her kind and generous spirit.  She was the heart of her family, and exemplified how to live a meaningful life.  Annie’s faith was also a source of her long and well-lived life.  We lovingly remember her beautiful smile that embraced everyone.

   Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Cook- Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, TX with the Recitation of the Rosary beginning at 7:00 pm.

   A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 6, 10:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Austin, TX.  Entombment will follow at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Mausoleum.

   In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Annie’s memory to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 9500 Neenah Ave, Austin, TX  78717 or to the charity of your choice.
