Groves Police responded to the following calls from Nov. 6 through Nov. 12

Wednesday, Nov. 6

• An assault was reported in the 5200 block of Twin City Highway.

• Officers were called to the 5100 block of East Parkway in reference to a suspicious subject. An investigation resulted in the arrest of three persons. One was arrested for disorderly conduct, another for public intoxication and the third person was arrested for an outstanding warrant from Orange County.

Thursday, Nov. 7

• A 21-year-old male was arrested on Groves warrants after a traffic stop in the 2900 block of Twin City Highway.

• Theft was reported in the 4400 block of Twin City Highway.  Upon investigation, a 25-year-old female was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

• A city trash container was stolen from the 2300 block of Owens.

• A 34-year-old male was arrested for public intoxication and drug charges at a local business in the 5200 block of 39th Street.

• Fraud of a check for $710 was reported at a business in the 6100 block of Gulfway Drive.

• A 33-year-old male was arrested for public intoxication at a business in the 3700 block of Main Avenue.

• A disturbance was reported in the 2600 block of Twin City Highway. Upon checking all parties involved, a 31-year-old male was arrested on Port Arthur Warrants.

• A citizen reported a theft in the 2600 block of Twin City Highway, and a 34-year-old female was arrested on Port Arthur warrants.

Friday, Nov. 8

• A 28-year-old male was arrested for Port Arthur warrants after a routine traffic stop in the 3400 block of East Parkway.

• A 10 speed Magna mountain bike was stolen from the 2900 block of First Avenue.

• A gold tie clip, silver baby jewelry box and a belt buckle were stolen from the 6300 block of Warren.

• A 22-year-old male was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after a theft investigation in the 6200 block of Gulfway Drive.

Saturday, Nov. 9

• A 31-year-old male was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 3200 block of High Avenue.

• A 21-year-old female was arrested for public intoxication and a city ordinance violation in the 3200 block of High Avenue.

• A criminal trespass warning notice was issued in the 6100 block of Warren.

• An assault was reported in the 5100 block of East Parkway.

• An assault was reported in the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive.

Sunday, Nov. 10

• A 2000 Mercury Mariner 4 door was stolen from the 4900 block of Beaumont.

• A white 1999 Dodge truck was stolen from the 6100 block of Gulfway Drive.

• The report of a threat was made.

• A disturbance was reported in the 6300 block of Warren.

Monday, Nov. 11

• Two people were arrested on outstanding area warrants in the 6100 block of Washington after a call of a suspicious vehicle.

• A resident in the 3800 block of Canal reported harassment and upon investigation a 58-year-old male was issued a criminal trespass warning.

• Two step ladders, one valued at $59 and one valued at $69 and a box fan valued at $20 were stolen from the 3100 block of Oak Avenue.

• A Kenwood CD player valued at $150 was stolen from a green 1998 Chevrolet pickup in the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive.

• A 22-year-old male was arrested by an officer on routine patrol for fail to identify after a traffic stop.

• A disturbance was reported in the 6700 block of 25th Street at a local apartment complex.

• A orange and white Stihl leaf blower valued at $151 was taken with consent from a residents garage.

• Criminal mischief was reported by a resident in the 2100 block of Perry Avenue in which a window valued at $500 was broken.

• A 40-year-old male was arrested for public intoxication after a report of an unwanted person in the 2100 block of Perry Avenue.

• Several miscellaneous power tools, leather jackets, a brass lamp and blankets were stolen from the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive.

Tuesday, Nov. 12

• A vicious dog was reported in the 2600 block of First Avenue. A lady was walking her dog on a leash when it was attacked by another dog, injuring it.
