Frances Allen Prewitt, 89, of Port Arthur, died Friday, April 26, 2013 at home.  She was born January 23, 1924 to Clyde and Mary Allen of Port Acres, Texas.  Frances was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, Port Arthur, Texas.

Frances raised her family then later in life attended Lamar University.  After graduation she pursued her career in nursing helping others.  After she retired she enjoyed traveling and working crossword puzzles.

Frances is survived by her sons Hilton Roy Prewitt of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Lonnie Prewitt of Port Arthur, Texas, Floyd Prewitt, Jr., of Los Angeles, California and one daughter Sylvia Sue Norris of Port Acres, Texas; six grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and two sisters.
