Anthony Viley Hebert

   Anthony Viley Hebert, 95, of Port Acres, Texas died on February 23, 2013 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Viley was born on October 9, 1917 in Franklin, Louisiana to Dennis and Carmalite Hebert. Viley was one of four sons. Viley loved his family, grandchildren, and especially his great-grandchildren.

  Viley’s passion was Cajun dancing, and he could be found dancing at Larry’s French Market.  

   Viley was a Sergent in the Army, a decorated veteran of WWII, an active 3rd degree ranking member of Knights of Columbus 3195, and a member of Little Flower Catholic Church.

   Viley was preceded in death by his spouses, Anna Lou Champagne, and Hilda Comeaux; his son, Mike Hebert, and his three brothers.

   Viley is survived by his daughter-in-law, Elaine Hebert, his grandchildren, Corey Hebert and his wife Kellie, Danny Hebert, Kerry Hebert and his wife Charisse, and Donny Hebert; and his great-grandchildren, Cole, Katelynn, Kara, and Kimberly Hebert.

Viley was also survived by other grandchildren, Arron, Dawn, Todd, Kayla, Katie, Zach, and Amy; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of other friends and family.

   A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home.  

   A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Little Flower Catholic Church, Port Acres with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves with Rev. Rejimon E. George, CMI officiating.
