Cornel’s Brewing Co. will release its first beer called Una Mas Cerveza on Thursday, July 21.  The first keg will be tapped at Madison’s on Dowlen at 8 p.m. Friday, July 22, and the event is open to the public.

Cornel’s Brewing Company is Beaumont’s first and only brewery.  Considered a Nano-Brewery, Cornels has been the passionate pursuit of Corey Nelson.  When Nelson first started home brewing back in the 1990’s while serving in the US Navy, he didn’t see owning a brewery in his future.  As his passion for brewing grew, however, an idea formed and the dream began.

After two years of hard work and red tape, Nelson is proud to release his first brew, Una Mas Cerveza.  A Mexican-style ale, Una Mas Cerveza is a cross between a Corona and a Dos Equis Amber.  Light in color, full bodied in flavor, Una Mas Cerveza is a crisp and refreshing beer perfect for these warm summer days.
