Margaret “Granny” Glaze, 88, of Nederland passed away Monday, January 31, 2011 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.

   Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Melancon’s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H in Nederland with Rev. Micah Howell officiating; with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be from 4 to 7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

   Granny was born September 22, 1922 in Morgan City, Louisiana to the late Walter and Lola Malozz Carson, and lived in Nederland for 65 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Nederland where she worked in the nursery for over 40 years. She was a loving Christian woman, whose gift was cooking, and doing for others.

   Granny was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl Glaze; son, Walter Arnaud; and daughter, Brenda Howell. She is survived by 2 daughters, Earlyne Delahoussaye and husband, Danny of Nederland, and Paula Tallant and husband, David of Nederland; son, Harold Glaze and wife, Tami of Nederland; son-in-law, Doctor Lanny Howell of Nederland; nine grandchildren, Jerry and Jeffrey Arnaud, Tamara Domino, Tawne Glaze, Joshua and Travis Tallant,  Lance, Micah, and Jenna Howell; also seven great-grandchildren.
