Alton Henry “Sonny” Pressler, Jr., 77, of San Antonio, Texas passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2010.  He was born in Port Arthur, Texas, October 20, 1933.

   Sonny is preceded in death by his parents, Annette and Alton Henry Pressler, and daughter, Julie Pressler Ault.  He is survived by his wife Karen; his children Jo Ellen Dietz and husband Bob, Alton H. Pressler, III,  James Eric “Blue” Pressler and wife Kimberly; step-children Eric Marquardt, Shauna Forkenbrock and husband Mike,and Leif Marquardt ; grandchildren, Callie Wahl Denbigh, Kolby Wahl, Joshua Ault, Porscha Pressler, Cameron Pressler, and Madison Pressler;  step-granddaughter Gracie Marquardt; brother, James W. Pressler and wife Patsy of McComb, MS; and four nephews.

   A memorial service to honor Sonny will be held at 3:00 Monday, January 10, 2011 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio.  A reception will follow at University United Methodist Church.
