Groves Police responded to the following calls from Sept. 1 to Sept. 7:

Wednesday, Sept. 1

• Burglary of a storage building was reported in the 6800 block of Jefferson.

• Burglary of a habitation was reported in the 5200 block of 25th  Street.

• An assault was reported in the 3100 block of Woodlawn.

• A 29-year-old male was arrested in the 5200 block of East Parkway for outstanding City of Port Arthur warrants.

 

Thursday, Sept. 2

• A 51-year-old female was arrested for possession of cocaine in the 6200 block of 25th Street.

• A 30-year-old female was arrested for public intoxication and failing to identify in the 5100 block of East Parkway.

• Telephone Harassment was reported in the 4800 block of Cleveland.

 

Friday, Sept. 3

• Tires were cut on two vehicles parked in the 4500 block of Roosevelt.

• A door was forced open on a house in the 3500 block of Grant. A Samsung TV, X-Box gaming system and a Dell laptop computer were stolen.

• A 24-year-old male was arrested on outstanding warrants in the 6000 block of 25th Street.

 

Saturday, Sept. 4

• A jogger was bitten by a dog in the area of Wilson and Roosevelt. The dog was detained for observation.

 

Sunday, Sept. 5

• Gasoline was stolen from the 4000 block of Lincoln.

• Someone broke into a business in the 6200 block of Gulfway Drive and stole cash and checks.

• A 42-year-old female was detained for a traffic violation and was found to be in possession of dangerous drugs in the 5200 block of East Parkway.

• A 43-year-old female was arrested on outstanding warrants in the 5100 block of 34th Street.

• A 24-year-old male was arrested on outstanding warrants in the 4800 block of Twin City Highway.

 

Monday, Sept. 6

• No reports were filed.

 

Tuesday, Sept. 7

• A stolen bicycle was recovered in the area of 32nd and East.

• Someone forced entry to a house in the 5900 block of Smith and stole two flat screen TV’s, a large hunting knife and a 3-month old pit bull puppy.

• A dog at large was reported in the 3200 block of Lay.
