Myrline “Timmie” Dorsey, 83 of Port Arthur died on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Cypress Glen East Nursing Home in Port Arthur.  

   Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Broussard’s in Nederland with James Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be 5:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Broussard’s.

   Mrs. Dorsey was a native and lifelong resident of Port Arthur. She was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Port Arthur were she was a member of the Altar Society. Mrs. Dorsey worked for JJ’s Accents for ten years. She enjoyed traveling with her husband in their motor home, spending time with her grandkids and family.

   Mrs. Dorsey is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, Bob Dorsey of Port Arthur; six daughters, DiAnne Shippey and her husband Bill of Cold Springs, Cindy Dorsey of Nederland, Melissa Moore and her husband James of Port Neches, Mary Moreno and her husband Robert of Nederland, Jill Perryman and her husband Michael of Denver, Colorado, and Rita Hollier and her husband Karl of Bridge City; two sons, Randy Dorsey and his wife Mary of Point Blank and Don Dorsey of Brazoria; grandchildren, Darrell Gaspard Jr. of Groves, Shane’ Denman and her husband Billy of Lumberton, Shane Dorsey and his wife LaTonya of Huffman, Bryan Shippey and his wife Amy of Aurora, Colorado, Heath Gaspard and his wife Stephanie of Port Neches, Natalie Landry and her husband Cory of Groves, Marcos Gomez of Afghanistan, Jody Domingue of Los Angeles, California, Angela Walton and her husband Chris of Houston, Jordan Leger and her husband Stephen of Nederland, Anna Moreno of Nederland, Gretchen Hollier of Bridge City, Luc Hollier of Bridge City; great grandchildren, Ashleigh Jones and her husband Seth of Lumberton, Micah Denman of Lumberton, Devryn Dorsey of LaPorte, Garrett Gaspard of Port Neches, Hannah Denman of Lumberton, Cory Walton of Houston, Grant Gaspard of Port Neches, Kaden Dorsey of Huffman, Jace Walton of Houston, Brock Dorsey of Huffman, Grey Gaspard of Port Neches, Rylee Leger of Nederland; and great great grandchildren, Haden Gilley of Lumberton and Laikynn Jones of Lumberton.

   The Dorsey family would like to thank Linda Hulin for her fourteen years of love and care for Mrs. Dorsey.
