Lions honor Boulet

Port Arthur Founders Lions Club members honored Past District 2S1 Governor Lion Wilbert Boulet for 65 years of service.

Gina Desmarias, first vice president presented Past District 2S1 Governor Lion Wilbert Boulet with a certificate of appreciation.

Boulet joined the Lions in October 1944 and worked his way to president in four years. During his Lions membership he held several offices at the club level and was a delegate to nine Lions International Conventions. While continuing to serve as treasurer of the Port Arthur Founders Club from 1959 until 1999, Boulet was the District Cabinet Treasurer in 1981 and in 1984 was elected District 2S1 Governor. He is a member of the Texas Lions Hall of Fame, a Melvin Jones Fellow and a Jack Weich Fellow.  

He was abstractor for Banker Rutan Real Estate Agency for 14 years and became deputy county clerk for Jefferson County where he worked for 25 years before retirement.
