Jeanette Samford went home to be with the Lord on September 24, 2009.  She was born January 16, 1932 in Corsicana, Texas.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Wayland Brian Samford.  She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Landry of Lumberton, Paula and husband Ronald Elizondo of Port Arthur, Donna Kay and husband Larry Gann of  Pea Ridge, Arkansas; sisters, Opal Hammock of Sacramento, California and Ailene Barnett of Fort Worth; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to extend their thanks and blessings to Hospice for their support and care.  A very special thank you to Millie Havard, a private nurse and a true angel to Jeanette and family during these last days.  Praises to our Lord for his comforting presence in our lives.

Visitation will take place Saturday, September 26, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 27, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel.
