Victim claims he’s forced to strip at gunpoint

The Port Arthur Police received a call of an assault in progress at Fort Worth avenue and Procter Street shortly after 6 p.m. Sunday. An officer found a man in his underwear who claimed his vehicle was stolen at gunpoint and he was assaulted and forced to strip. The officer put out an attempt to locate call on the victim’s vehicle.

About four minutes later, another officer observed the victim’s vehicle parked at a store at 1201 Seventh Street. Someone was inside the vehicle when the officer spotted it. Evidence found in the victim’s vehicle and on the suspect’s person linked him to the incident. Another suspect was seen walking away from the vehicle was detained and later found to have what is believed to be crack cocaine in his possession. Both people were taken into custody. One was booked in to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility for robbery and the other was booked for possession of controlled substance.

Detectives were called to assist in the investigation and located further evidence at another location. The evidence was found in the 700 block of Fort Worth Avenue where the robbery is believed to have occurred. The victim was then driven to Procter Street where he was dropped off and the suspects fled in his vehicle.
