Thursday’s weather; chance of rain, high near 77

Thursday’s forecast calls for a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m., otherwise mostly cloudy, with a high near 77. Windy, with a south wind between 20 and 25 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Thursday night, mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. South wind between 15 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

A lake wind advisory is in effect from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday.

South winds will increase to between 15 and 25 mph by late morning with gusts between 30 and 35 mph possible by the afternoon. Winds will begin to subside by early evening.

A lake wind advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.
