Tujean Joseph “T.J.” LeBlanc

Port Acres- Tujean Joseph “T.J.” LeBlanc, 82, of Port Acres passed away on Friday, March 14, 2008, at his residence in Port Acres with his loving family at his side.

Tujean was born on October 4, 1925, in Port Arthur, Texas to Novia and Simon LeBlanc. He was a lifelong area resident and a member of Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church. Tujean was a World War II Navy Veteran and owned and operated Wiltz Grocery Store in Port Acres with his family for over fifty years. He loved his family, watching sports, loved animals and children. Tujean loved to deer hunt and go fishing and will be missed by all who knew him.

A Chapel Service will take place at 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2008, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur with Rev. Anthony Moozhikuzhy officiating. A gathering of friends and family will take place from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2008, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years, Ruby Theresa LeBlanc of Port Acres; sons, Timothy Joseph LeBlanc and Don Edward LeBlanc both of Port Acres; daughter, Roxane LeBlanc Handel and husband Gary of Broaddus, Texas; sisters, Anna Lou Nunez of Port Acres, Thelma “Tootie” Elmore of Nederland, Jean LaCour and husband Ray of Lafayette, Louisiana and Jeanette Owens of Orange; five grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Tujean was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Simon LeBlanc, Jr. and sister, Verna LeBlanc Stansbury.

Howard James Broussard

Howard James Broussard, 68, of Lumberton died Thursday, March 13, 2008. A native of Port Arthur and resident of Beaumont before moving to Lumberton, Howard was a corrections officer for Texas Department of Criminal Justice and worked for K-Mart in Beaumont as security manager for nineteen years. A veteran in the United States Army in the Black Horse Regiment, Howard served during the Vietnam era.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Broussard of Lumberton; sons, John Lee Fears and wife Eilene of Beaumont, Louis Dale Bland and wife Melissa of Orangefield, and Michael Broussard of Beaumont; daughters, Barbara Jean Fears of Beaumont, Glynis Elaine Borel and husband Rob of Spring, Sherrill Macomber and husband Phillip of Hillister, and Tracy Fears of Albany, New York; sister Ada Jean Fontenot and husband Gilbert of Groves; brothers, Ronald Charles Broussard and wife Sharon of Nederland, and Tracy Eugene Broussard of Houston; grandchildren, Stacy Castille, Megan Macomber, Jack Muirhead, Jr., James Williams, Ted Williams, Jennifer Fears, Amy Fears, Christy Castille, Kira Bland, and Dylan Bland; and great grandchildren, Triston Muirhead and Noah Muirhead.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2008 at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont followed by burial at Houston National Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2008 at the mortuary.

Ella Mae Delahoussaye Menard

Nederland- Ella Mae Delahoussaye Menard, 85, of Nederland passed away Friday, March 14, 2008 at St. Johns Hospital in Nassau Bay.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 17, 2008 at 10 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland with Rev. Dan Malain officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be from 6 to 9 pm Sunday, March 16, 2008 with a Rosary to be recited at 7 pm at the mortuary.

Ella Mae was a native of Abbeville, Louisiana and lived in the Nederland area since 1946. She will be remembered for her excellent cooking.

Mrs. Menard is survived by her daughters, Patricia Ann Dugas and her husband Marcus of Brookeland and Deborah Mobley of LaPorte; grandchildren, Robert Mobley Jr., Jody Mobley, Theresa Lemmons and Troy Dugas; five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Ulgere Menard, four brothers and three sisters.

Rose Mary (Jones) Coleman

PORT ARTHUR – Rose Mary (Jones) Coleman, 63, of Port Arthur, Texas went home to her Heavenly Father, Monday, March 10, 2008.

Born December 26, 1944 to the union of Rosa Mae and Nolton Jones Sr., she was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur. She attended Lincoln High School and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Nolton Jr.

Survivors include her son, Clifford Coleman III; daughters, Cynthia (Darrell) Harmon and Cathrina (Danny) Resendiz, all of Port Arthur; her sisters, Ann Henry and Clara (Elza) Bush; and brother, David Jones, all of Port Arthur. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation is scheduled from 9am-11am with Funeral services following at 11am on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at Gabriel Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
