Max Martin Minter IV, 20, a Nederland High School graduate, died Tuesday night after an accident that occurred following the Nederland Lighted Christmas Parade last week.
Minter was riding in the back of a personal truck with bales of hay after participating in the parade when the hay shifted and knocked the young man to the ground.
Paramedics brought Minter to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont where he stayed in the Neuro ICU in a coma and on life support to reduce the swelling in his brain.
“He was an awesome kid and we’re thankful for all the love and support,” Minter’s mother, Cindy said.
Services for Minter are pending with Broussard’s in Nederland.
