The names of the two teens killed in the double homicide Nov. 10 have been released.

The victims were Artura Borreto, 13, and Victor Garcia, 15. The victim Garcia is not related to the suspect Garcia.

The suspect, Manuel Garcia, is still in custody at the Jefferson County Jail. After he was taken into custody he met with detectives but did not give a statement. His bond is set at $200,000.

Friday, Nov. 10, Beaumont Police were dispatched to Elgie Street in reference to a shooting. Upon arriving, they discovered a 13-year-old male suffering a gunshot wound to the head. A second gunshot victim, a 15-year-old male, suffered a gunshot wound to the neck. The 15-year-old was transported to a local hospital before police arrival. The younger juvenile was taken by Beaumont EMS to a local hospital for treatment. Both juveniles died at the hospital.

Detectives discovered that a disturbance had taken place in front of a home in the 1400 block of Elgie Street. During the disturbance, police believe that Garcia pulled out a pistol and began firing and the two juveniles were struck.
