In only a short period of time Wednesday night, undercover Port Arthur police officers were able to make 11 drug busts.

Detectives with the PAPD Narcotics Unit and other officers conducted an undercover operation in the 5200 block of Gulfway Drive Wednesday evening. Their aim was tracking down street level drug buyers.

Within two hours, officers made 11 arrests — eight suspects were taken in for solicitation of a controlled substance and three more were booked for drug possession charges.
