No mass marches in Mexico

As a former student, long ago, at Mexico City College, I sometimes hear from friends back there. I recently learned it might be a good idea for local Mexican illegal immigrants (the key word there is “illegal”) to learn how their own government – – Mexico – – treats illegal immigrants crossing their southern boarder from Guatemala.

In Tultitian, Mexico, police recently shot and killed a Mexican construction worker because he “looked like” a Guatemalan. According to my source, one Mexican resident said, “Police just come and grab people because they are dark skinned.” However, there were no mass marches in Mexican cities about that atrocity. I wonder why? Is it because the Federales might shoot some of their own, like they did in the late 60’s?
