Kirsten Richard became the bride of Eric Soliz Saturday June 24 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church in Port Acres, Texas in a double-ring ceremony with Father Walter Montondon officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Gary & Cindy Richard of Port Acres, TX. The bridegroom is the son of Roy and Theresia Soliz of Port Arthur, TX.
Music was provided by Little Flower Choir and Lori Breaux provided the vocals. Attending the bride as matron of honor was Amy Soto. Bridesmaids were Michelle Bryan, Heather Marshall, Jana McFarlin, Summer Schwertner, Cassie Walters, and Jr. Bridesmaid, Alaina Cole. Kayla Lange was flower girl and Caleb Soliz carried the rings. Ashley Elam served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Ronnie Collins, Roy Garza, Al Judice, Blake Richard and Tony Soto.
The Bride is a 2000 graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School and graduated from Lamar University. She holds a Masters degree in Business and is employed by ISP Elastomers.
The Groom is a 2000 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and graduated from Lamar Institute of Technology. He holds an Associates degree in Computer Networking and is employed by Armadillo Graphics.
Following their honeymoon in Destin Florida, the couple will reside in Nederland, Texas.

Phyllis Ann McAfee and Mister Ryan Thibodeaux were united in marriage on Saturday, July 15, 2006 at four o’clock at Christian Faith Baptist Church of Port Arthur, Texas. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Albert Moses. Vocalists were Myra Washington and Gina Harris along with Leroyal Dorsey who provided vocals plus was the musician for the service. A reception followed at the Courtyard in Groves, Texas.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy McAfee of Port Arthur, Texas and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Goudeau of Port Arthur, Texas and the late Mr. Howard McAfee, Sr. and Mrs. Julia McAfee of Marshall, Texas.
The groom is the son of Norma Thibodeaux and Joseph Thibodeaux, Jr. of Beaumont, Texas and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Clement, Sr. of Beaumont, Texas and Mr. and Mrs. Irby Thibodeaux, Sr. of Beaumont, Texas.
Serving as Matron of Honor was Angela Vincent. Bridesmaids were Angela (McAfee) Alexander, Crystal McAfee, Mecheal Faulk, Jondralyn Landry, Anitra Williams and junior bridesmaid was Breah Hawkins. The flower girl was Logan Morris. The bell ringer was Briana Provost.
Serving as Best Man was Christopher Landry. Groomsmen were Andre Andrews, Johnny Faulk, Gerald Liedy, Brian Roy, and Derek Smith. The ring bearer was Brian Roy, Jr. Ushers were Brianna Thibodeaux, Ja’Kalyn Jones, and Israel Taylor, Jr.
Serving as Hostesses were Amber Coleman and Dawn Cohea. House party members included Mary Bowden, Gussie Cohea, Ella Conner, Myron Getwood, Lillian James, Ebelver Lewis, and Velma Smith.
Their honeymoon will include a tour of Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel.

Vanessa Creader became the Bride of Joseph Hunt on Saturday July 15, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches, Texas in a double ring ceremony with Father Bennie Patillo officiating.
The Bride is the daughter of Scott and Karen Creader of Nederland, Texas. The Bridegroom is the son of Daniel and Margaret Hunt also from Nederland, Texas.
Music was provided by Carol LaFleur. Attending the Bride as Matron of Honor was April Gomez. Bridesmaids were Carmen Rios, Rosa Rios, Kari Melancon, Janette Davis, and Brittney Mirabella. Travis Kirkpatrick served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Pete Resch, Juan Deleon, Jim Weatherly, Eric Taunton, and Jason Hidahl. Ushers were Jordon Stanley and Reagan Stanley.
The Bride is a 2001 graduate of Nederland High School and a graduate of Lamar University. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and is employed by Neches Federal Credit Union. The Groom is a 2002 graduate of Nederland High School and a graduate from Lamar University. He holds two Bachelor Degrees in Math and Physics and is employed by Acorn Educational Services.
Following their honeymoon in Paris and Rome, the couple will reside in Austin, Texas.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Priddy of Port Neches and Mr. and Mrs. Scott Simpson. The groom is the son of Mrs. Susan Clark and the late Ronald Clark of College Station.
Music was provided by Rebecca Nix and Fred Guilbert provided the vocals. Attending the bride as Matron of Honor was Chrissy Lang. Bridesmaids were Emily Cooksey, Summer Schwertner, Stephanie Mitchell, Kelly Clements, and Junior Bridesmaid Savannah Kellum. Sadie and Sydnie Kellum were flower girls and Layne Richard carried the rings. Rachel Clark stood in the late Ronald Clark’s place as Best Man. Groomsmen were Buddy Kellum, Adam Stout, Ben Wittman, Matt Simpson and Junior Groomsmen Lance Richard.

The groom is a 1997 graduate of A & M Consolidated High School and graduated from Texas A & M University. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science and is employed by Joeris General Contractors.
Following their honeymoon in Playa Del Carmen, the couple will reside in San Antonio, Texas.

Katrina is a 2001 graduate of Port Neches - Groves High School and 2005 graduate of Drake University, with a B.A. degree in Biochemistry. She is currently pursuing an MBA and is employed by Lamar University.
David is a 1999 graduate of Port Neches - Groves High School. He is an Assistant Manager at The Home Depot in Beaumont.
The couple plans to marry at 6:30 pm on August 19, 2006 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Port Arthur, Texas.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Wukasch
Bob and Loyce Wukasch formerly of Port Arthur, celebrated their 50th anniversary on June 17-18, with a reception at the Yacht Club in Horseshoe Bay and a brunch at their current home in Horseshoe Bay. The celebration was hosted by their friends and family members as well as members of their original wedding party.
Loyce and Bob Wukasch were married on June 16, 1956, at St. John Lutheran Church in Beaumont. Loyce is a retired PAISD teacher and Bob was a State Farm Insurance Agent.
Bob and Loyce have a daughter, Lori Stalheber and one granddaughter.
Mr. and Mrs. Hardy Jr.
L.J. and Joy Hardy celebrated their 50th anniversary on July 8, 2006, with a family dinner. The event was hosted by their children and grandchildren.
Joy and L.J. Hardy Jr. were married on July 8, 1956, at St. Mary Catholic Church, in Port Arthur. L.J. retired from Quantum as an A Operator and Joy is a homemaker.
Their children are: Gay and Rick Woods, Jed Hardy, Cindy Stone, Jill and Bo McBride and Brett and Kelly Hardy. The couple also has seven grandchildren.
