Mrs. Rahsaan Antoine nee Shascotchawa Sperling

Shascotchawa Sperling became the bride of Rahsaan Antoine, Saturday April 29, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. at First 6th St. Baptist Church, Port Arthur, Texas in a double ring ceremony with Rev. Wayne Morris officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Ms. Lillie Sperling and Mr. Michael Sperling of Port Arthur. The bridegroom is the son of Miss. Wylen Antoine and the late Mr. Frank Green of Port Arthur.
Music was provided by Young Men In Christ and Mrs. Willa Deshotel provided the vocals. The bride was escorted by Chief Kevin Sperling. Attending the bride as the Matrons of Honor was Annisa Arceneaux and Tamara Vital and the Maid of Honor was Shawna Williams. Bridesmaids were Valencia Antoine, Chemere Charles, LaMonica Charles, Dal Cole, Nicole Kyles, Sommer Reed, Shauna Smith, Shanequa Sostand. Danasha Naville was Majestic Princess and Prince Charming was Brenen Vital. Kayce Antoine and Anderia Blackwell were the flower girls and Kody Antoine carried the rings. DeKovin Antoine, Avery McGlory and ShaCovian Sperling served as Best Men. Groomsmen were Danny Antoine, James Arceneaux, Kevin Carrier, Herman Elmore, Donavan Lloyd, Douglas Lloyd, Samuel Mann, Othella Vital. Aeriel Rougeau served as Junior Bride and Riyad Antoine was Junior Groom. Hostesses were Kenyada Williams and Sherena Woods. Ushers were Shabazz Johnson and Roshane Taylor. The House Party included: Pat Miller, Linda Naville, Linda McCeary Robenne Parker, Janice Reed, Carolyn Anderson Deborah Fontenot, Doris Lockwood, Toni Gardiner, Shon Lavine, Judy Washington, Shawan Sperling, and Arlene Smith.
The Bride is a 1997 graduate of Lincoln High School and graduated Lamar University, majoring in cosmetology. She is employed by Vinh’s Beauty Salon. The Groom is a 1996 graduate of Lincoln High School and is employed by Austin Ind.
Following their honeymoon aboard a Cruise to Mexico, the couple will reside in Port Arthur, TX.

Mrs. Daniel Earl nee Holly Williford

Holly Williford became the bride of Daniel Earl on Friday, May 5, 2006, at the Beaches Resort, Turks and Caicos Islands. Marriage vows were recited on the beach in a double ring ceremony performed by a local officiate.
Attending the bride as Matron of Honor was Melissa Owsley Sneed, and Alisha Praznik, sister of the bride, served as bridesmaid. The groom’s brother, Michael Earl, served as Best Man and the bride’s brother, Reid Shepherd attended as groomsman. Wedding décor was provided by Preston Bailey’s exclusive Water Lily collection in shades of pink, and the guests included close friends and family of the happy couple. A private beachside reception was held after the ceremony and an evening reception followed at the resort with dinner and dancing.
The bride is the daughter of Susan and Tim Praznik of Nederland, Texas, and Larry and Laura Williford of Nacogdoches. The bridegroom is the son of Robert Earl of Washingtonville, New York and Susan Earl of Groveport, Ohio. The bride is a 1997 graduate of Nederland High School and graduated from Baylor University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations. She is employed by Lehman Brothers Financial Advisors in Dallas, Texas. The groom is a 1992 graduate of Washingtonville High School and a 1997 graduate of New Paltz University in New York where he received a BBA in Management. He is employed by Bear Stearns EMC Mortgage Division in Dallas.
Following a Caribbean cruise to the Bahamas, St. Maarten and St. Thomas, the couple will reside in Flower Mound.

Lindsey Smith became the bride of James F. Mathias Saturday, May 6, 2006, at 2:00 pm at St. Austin Catholic Church in Austin, Texas with Father Ivan Tou officiating. The bride is the daughter of Woody and Nancy Pritchard and Charles and Lia Smith.
The bridegroom is the son of Jim and Jackie Mathias of E. Hampton, Connecticut.
Music was provided by the band, The Beamers. Attending the bride as Maid of Honor was Emily Pritchard. Bridesmaids were Sarah Moye, April Struss, Melissa Trahan, Rachel Turner, Fiona Booth, Stacey Guidry, Holly Gunter, and Jessica Semprebon. Groomsmen were Oliver Coshow, Shane Semprebon, Christian Munoz, Christopher Guido, and Danny Nold.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School and graduated from University of Texas. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the University of Texas School of Architecture. She is a designer with Page Southerland and Page Architects. The groom is a 1994 graduate from Xavier High School and graduated from Boston College. He holds a Bachelor of Art in History and is a Senior Account Manager with the Shelton Group.
The newlyweds will be flying into Paris, traveling to Venice, Tuscany and Rome on their honeymoon. The Couple will reside in Dallas, Texas.

Mrs. William M. Tawney nee Ashely N. Jensen

Ashely Nicole Jensen and William Michael Tawney, both of Nederland, Texas, were united in marriage on Saturday, May 6, 2006, at seven o’clock at the First United Methodist Church in Nederland, Texas. Reverend Dale Chance performed the double-ring ceremony. A reception followed at the IBEW Hall in Beaumont, Texas. On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Two Magnolia’s at The Green Beanery in Beaumont, Texas.
Ashely is the daughter of Ms. Charlotte Barras of Nederland, Texas. She is a prospective August 2006 graduate of Lamar University with a BBA degree in Marketing. She is currently employed with MCT Credit Union. Will is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Tawney of Nederland, Texas. He received his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lamar University in 2004 and is currently employed as a reliability engineer with Valero Energy Corporation.
Amber Collins served as Matron of Honor and the bridesmaids were April Lisenby, Cassie Hebert, Amy Britt, and Jeanna Babineaux. Junior bridesmaids were Kirstein Lisenby and Chloe Scoggins, and the flowergirl was Kennedy Lisenby. Scripture readings were delivered by Michelle Phillips and Tammy Britt.
Andrea Gutauskas, sister of the groom, served as Best Woman. The groomsmen were Josh Rodriguez, Rocky Rashall, Dustin Britt, and Scott Collins. Ushers were Jake Babineaux, Alex Scoggins, Garrett Aguillard, and Barrett Cline.
Following their honeymoon, Ashely and Will will make their home in Port Neches, Texas.

Brooke Roy became the bride of Brandon Villafano Saturday April 29 at 6:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Groves, Texas in a double ring ceremony with Rev. Charles Miller officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Tim & Lisa Roy of Groves. She is the granddaughter of Mr. & Mrs. Hadson Roy of Groves and Mr. & Mrs. Herman Ridgeway of Port Arthur. The bridegroom is the son of Pauline Guidry of Nederland & Gil & Nora Villafano of Port Neches. He is the grandson of Mrs. Margaret Matthews of Vinton, LA and Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Villafano Sr. of Vidor.
Music was provided by Craig Escamilia and Adam Domingue provided the vocals. Attending the bride as maid of honor was Blair Roy. Bridesmaids were Casey Jourdan, Amber Quebedeaux, Kacie Day, Candice Hardin, Chrissy Mercer and Theresa Grillo. Brianna Rice, Allison Surles, and Madeline Calhoun were flower girls and Kyle Curtis carried the rings. Cory Villafano served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Jeremy Tomlin, Ryan Castille, Andrew Duchamp, Chris Byers, Larry Spears, and Chad Burnett.
The Bride is a 2002 graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School. She is a 2004 graduate of Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital School of Radiologic Technology and a 2005 graduate of the University of Texas at M.D. Anderson School of Radiation Therapy. She is employed by Tower Medical of Nederland.
The Groom is a 1998 graduate of Nederland High School and graduated from Lamar University. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and is employed by King Pharmaceuticals.
Following their honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas, the couple will reside in Beaumont.
