Tina Michelle Esquivel of Groves, Texas became the bride of Christopher Cadena of Nederland, Texas on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Nederland, Texas in a double ring ceremony. Father Dan Malain, along with Deacon Ramiro Reyes, officiated at the ceremony. Music and vocals for the wedding Mass were provided by Joey Love and Stacie Taylor. Scripture readings were presented by Emily Esquivel and Rene’ Castro. A reception followed the nuptials at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas in Beaumont, Texas.
The bride is the daughter of Daniel and Linda Esquivel of Groves, Texas. The groom is the son of Gilbert and Ernestina Cadena of Nederland, Texas.
Attending the bride as Matron of Honor was Georgette Esquivel. Bridesmaids were Kari Plessala, Jennifer Hanna, and Yolonda Delaney. The flower girl was Madison Esquivel.
Serving the groom as Best Man was Stuart Hughes. Groomsmen were Bryan Spell, Chris Catalina, and Jamie Hood. Ushers were Brian Esquivel, Wade Breaux, Emilio Romero, and Whitaker Chisam.
The bride is a 1997 graduate of Port Neches - Groves High School and a graduate of Lamar University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. She is employed with the Jefferson County District Attorney’s office.
The groom is a 1995 graduate of Nederland High School and graduated from Texas State University at San Marcos. He holds a Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law. He is an Assistant Criminal District Attorney with Jefferson County in Beaumont, Texas.
Following their honeymoon in Antigua, the couple will reside in Nederland, Texas.
