- Hamshire-Fannett ISD to close Tuesday
Due to severe weather and potentially unsafe travel conditions that are predicted to affect the Southeast Texas area, Hamshire-Fannett ISD will not have school on Tuesday, Jan. 28. The district will continue to closely monitor the weather situation throughout the day on Tuesday and will provide updates as needed. These updates may be found on the district website, local media and through the district’s parent notification system.
- PAISD to cancel classes on Tuesday
Port Arthur ISD will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 28 due to forecasted inclement weather. The district will make a decision on whether or not we will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 29 no later than 6 p.m. on Tuesday evening.
- Bob Hope School, Hebert Adult Center to close Tuesday
The Hughen Center’s Bob Hope School and Hebert Adult Daycare Center will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 28 due to inclement weather.
- Sabine Pass School announces Tuesday class cancellation
Due to the approaching weather conditions, classes in Sabine Pass ISD will be canceled for Tuesday. The district will have a late arrival on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
- PN-GISD cancels classes for Tuesday
Port Neches-Groves ISD Superintendent Rodney Cavness announced that all PN-GISD campuses will be closed due to inclement weather on Tuesday, Jan. 28. District officials will meet on Tuesday to determine the plan for Wednesday. Parents, students and employees are encouraged to stay tuned to media outlets for updates.
Information regarding extracurricular activity cancellations will be posted on the Port Neches-Groves High School website.
- Mental Health Benefit rescheduled due to weather
BEAUMONT — The wacky weather in Southeast Texas, for the first time in 25 years, has forced the rescheduling of 53rd Mental Health America of Southeast Texas’s annual meeting and gala.
The event was to be held Tuesday, Jan. 28. The event has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 18 and will be held at the MCM Eleganté Hotel at 6:30 p.m.
