There’s only a few things I look forward to all year, and one of them is Thanksgiving dinner.
Maybe perhaps I’ve never had the responsibility of cooking it, I don’t know. But what I do know is that once I’ve had my fill of turkey, pie and whatever else my mother makes, I get my annual shot at the wishbone and all the luck that comes with winning.
To me, there’s one determining factor that must happen to be a successful wishbone breaker. It’s all about leverage. Whoever gets their thumb higher towards the base will win. Also, go ahead and give your opponent the first nudge at it ... the bone will snap faster in your favor that way, if you’ve gotten your thumb in position already.
I don’t care who I go up against; it could be one of my brothers, my dad, my mom, or even my little niece. A win is a win, and remember this advise: It’s all in the thumbs.
