Monster trucks, music and theater make for a great weekend

It’s the Top 40 sounds of regional act Soul Vacation on stage at Madison’s on Dowlen Road in Beaumont this Saturday evening for ages 21 and older. Admission is charged at the door. Starvin’ Marvin’s

You cannot get a much more diverse weekend of music than you will find tonight and Saturday at Starvin’ Marvin’s Bar and Grill in Beaumont.

Local country music group Old Trick will perform on the patio starting at 9 p.m. tonight for a night of great country fun. Then, on Saturday, it’s a trio of rock acts. Local modern rock band Forever Falls will headline this showcase. Special guests include regional act Nevermind the Darkness and Lake Charles-based band Noyola opening the show promptly at 9 p.m. Admission is always free and all ages are welcome.

The always popular open mic night is featured from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., Tuesday, while The Bogarts jam out great rock tunes from 80s through today on Wednesday night. Performing on Thursday is Max Stalling. Call 409-347-0058 for info.

Logon Cafe

A change in scheduling at the Logon Cafe has classic rock and blues group, the Texas Heartbreak Combo, performing at 8:30 p.m., tonight. Admission is $5 at the door.

A special showcase featuring Danny O’Flaherty is on tap from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m., Saturday, and admission is $15 at the door.

Then, on Saturday night, enjoy the sounds of good ol’ American rock and roll with local band Buffalo Blonde. Admission is $5 at the door. Visit www.logoncafe.net for details.

Thirsty’s

Local musicians and siblings David Lee Kaiser and Jimmy Kaiser, also known as The Kaiser Brothers, will perform an acoustic set of music tonight at Thirsty’s on Dowlen Road in Beaumont. Ages 21 and older are invited. Call 409-866-6066 for more information.
