The Gig

A new cover band has emerged on the Southeast Texas music scene.

The Means performed its first ever show this past Saturday and have quickly generated a lot of interest and secured a show this Saturday night at The Gig on Crockett Street in downtown Beaumont.

The band will blow you away with its song list, including songs by artists such as Johnny Cash, Bryan Adams, Sting, Eric Clapton, Live, Stone Temple Pilots and more. Admission is charged at the door for ages 18 and older. Visit www.thegigbeaumont.com for details.

Tequila Rok

Music is also found at another Crockett Street venue this weekend.

Tequila Rok welcomes Phil Pritchet for his first show ever at the venue, along with special guest Jamie Talbert. Admission is charged at the door. Then, on Saturday, Kris Harper is slated to perform. All shows take place on the patio, weather permitting.

Logon Cafe

It’s the first Friday of the month, and that means Ward, Bowen and Steinman are back at the Logon Cafe tonight for a fantastic evening of blues, rock, jazz and more. Admission is $5 at the door.

The Draw, formerly known as the Acme Bar Band, will perform on Saturday night starting at 8 p.m.

Karaoke is hosted at 7 p.m., every Tuesday, Open Mic Night is at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday and the Open Blues Jam is at 8 p.m., Thursday. Admission is free on each of these nights. Visit www.logoncafe.net for details.
