CHESTER MOORE: Hunting is...

Hunting is not a man’s sport. It is for anyone who wishes to pursuit male or female, young or old. Period.

Hunting is getting some great PR from television’s “Swamp People” and “Duck Dynasty”.  I am not saying it is turning masses onto the lifestyle but it does show even if a few of us are a little crazy, we’re not dangerous or sinister and we might just be fun to be around.

Hunting is not a means to get a return on your investment. If you plan to get your “money’s worth” out of hunting forget it. You will never shoot enough ducks or deer to get a price equivalent of meat for your dollar. That is not going to happen.

Hunting is a way to enjoy yourself and the great outdoors and yes collect some hearth healthy meat for the family. It is a tradition that has deep roots and that has been a formative part of the lives of many in Southeast Texas.
