Livingston capsule: Lions finished the 2011 season at 7-3 and 4-3 in district play, but missed out on the final 20-4A playoff spot to Beaumont Ozen. Neumann said: “They’re talented. They’re athletic in the skill positions. They’re 1-0 in district and have aspirations just like everyone else. The things that are important Friday night for us are to continue to improve offensively and defensively and to be very good in the kicking game. I think, from what I’ve seen, that (the kicking game) will be a bigger factor in this game than it has been in the past. I mean in the punting, punt returns, extra points and field goals.”
