Nederland 15, Beaumont Central 0
NEDERLAND — The Nederland Lady Bulldogs finished off its District 20-4A schedule with a 15-0 pounding of Beaumont Central.
Nederland moved to 19-8 overall and 11-3 in district play. The Lady Bulldogs now face the Dayton Lady Broncos next week in the bidistrict round. Coach Will Mallett said nothing is official but he expects a three-game series next Friday and Saturday.
Savana Guidry remained hot at the plate Tuesday. She was 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI and a triple. Tori Cooper was 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI and a double. Bailey Beard was 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI and a double while Madelyn Daniel was 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI. Kelsey Beard finished 1-for-1 with two RBI.
Jessica Seanz worked 1.2 innings on the mound and gave up no hits with three strike outs. Madyson Guidry threw an inning and struck out two and allowed one hit.
Livingston 4, Port Neches-Groves 1
LIVINGSTON — The Livingston Lady Lions forced a three-way tie for fourth in District 20-4A with a 4-1 win over Port Neches-Groves Tuesday.
PN-G, Livingston and Lumberton are all 6-8 after Tuesday night. A decision on who takes the last playoff spot will be decided Wednesday.
The Lady Indians struck out 15 times in the game. Tori Jackson scored the lone PN-G run after walking and then stealing second. She scored on a ground ball from Shelby Valentine.
Little Cypress-Mauriceville 3, Vidor 2
LITTLE CYPRESS — The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears turned the tables on the Vidor Lady Pirates Tuesday night.
The Lady Bears walked into Vidor last year already the District 20-4A champions with a 13-0 mark only to be stunned on the road by the Lady Pirates.
LC-M did the same to the current 20-4A champion Lady Pirates this year by squeezing out a 3-2 victory at Lady Bear Field to wrap up the regular season for both teams.
LC-M (24-6, 12-2) got a pair of towering home runs by Taylor Fraccastoro and Kayla Manuel to turn back the Lady Pirates (25-5, 13-1).
Hope Russell got the win on the hill for the Lady Bears. She allowed six hits while striking out five.
Whitney Howerton absorbed the loss for Vidor as she allowed six hits while fanning six and walking one.
The Class 4A Region III bidistrict playoffs will start next week.
The 20-4A champion Lady Pirates will face Kingwood Park, the fourth-place team out of District 19-4A, while the Lady Bears will face 19-4A third-place unit Crosby.
