Port Arthur Memorial's Darius Lemora commits to Washington State

PORT ARTHUR — Port Arthur Memorial senior defensive back Darius Lemora committed to Washington State Tuesday. Lemora has been having an excellent season for the Titan defense after returning from a broken leg he suffered last season in the third round of the playoffs against Houston Memorial.

Lemora also had offers from Texas State and North Texas, but chose to commit to the Cougars. He is the fourth Texan in former Texas Tech head coach Mike Leach’s first recruiting class with Washington State and is the 15th player overall to commit to the Cougars for 2013. Also on that list from Texas are Lancaster athlete Demarcus Ayers, Ennis defensive end Malik Jenkins and DeSoto defensive back Myron Turner.

The Cougars have offered Lemora’s teammate, defensive tackle Matthew Romar and currently have Beaumont Kelly graduate and senior offensive lineman Taylor Meighen on the roster.Lemora commits to Washington State
