Nederland Capsule: Nederland is looking to extend its District 20-4A winning streak to 22 games under Coach Larry Neumann...The Bulldogs come in at No. 2 in both total offense and defense in the district...Nederland’s offense is averaging 370 yards a game...Tailback Kendrick Hopkins is second in the district rushing with 993 yards and eight touchdowns. Hopkins needs one yard to reach 3,000 yards in his career...Quarterback Preston White is second in the district with 946 passing yards. White has 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions...Colton Kimler leads the Bulldogs with 22 catches for 445 yards and six touchdowns...Also watch for Sage Seay to get some snaps under center after playing quarterback on  a handful of play last week versus PN-G...Nederland’s defense is giving up an average of 259.4 yards a game...The Bulldogs have recovered five fumbles and intercepted seven passes.

Ozen Capsule: Beaumont Ozen’s offense and defense rank near the bottom in District 20-4A...Ozen’s offfense is averaging 275.4 yards a contest...Sophomore QB Josh Boyd enters the game with 402 rushing yards and five touchdowns. Boyd averages 6.18 yards a carry...Boyd has thrown for 587 yards on 33-for-70 passing with six touchdowns and four interceptions...Senior Ronnie Ceaser has 22 receptions for 138 yards and three touchdowns...The Panthers defense gives up an average of 340 yards per game...Ozen has recovered 11 fumbles and has intercepted four passes.

Neumann said: “It is starting to get to be do or die for a lot of teams in our district. Ozen is a very capable team and Coach (Keeath) Magee has made great progress very quickly with the Panthers. Ozen is capable of beating anyone in this district. It is going to be a big game for us. We had good practices early in the week. We had a couple of kids fighting a little illness early the week and hopefully we have those guys near full health come Friday. The Panthers have a potent offense that starts with the young quarterback. I know if he gets an open field we don’t have anyone who can catch him. PN-G woke us up on offense. Give the Indians credit. We can’t go into this game, though, and just think the team we played the week before did a great job so we don’t have to try to improve. We hope the results this week are a little better on offense.”

Magee Said: “There is a reason those guys have won over 20 games in a row in District 20-4A. You turn the tape on and you see kids who never take a single play off. Coach Neumann and his staff do as good a job as I have ever seen a coaching staff do. We have got to be as disciplined as we have ever been and we have to execute better than we have ever executed. You almost have to play the perfect game to beat Nederland. Beating Nederland is a huge task. I told our kids on Thursday we are the most inconsistent team in District 20-4A. . We are capable of doing some things and being a great football team. There is too much Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. We have to play better on both sides for a full 48 minutes.
